Re-wiring began in the spring of 2010.  Spent many hours removing all old wiring.

Moved the battery location to under the berth behind the nav station.  Used the current (old) switch panel  to run all the cabin lights and am going to wire in a new panel to run all other electronics.

The majority of cabin lights are LED.

Still to install:

  • Tri-color masthead nav light.
  • Pro Mariner Charger(done)
  • 12 V Television.(may wait on this item!)
  • Auto (tiller) pilot.
  • Shore Power.  Looking in to using a product from EZACDC   (Done)

Images to follow.

Epoxied some lengths of wood to act as battery box supports. Box fits inside the strips and a heavy duty strap holds the battery in place.  This location will be under the starboard side nav table.

Built a mahogany panel to house (and hide wiring) our VHF radio, AM/FM radio, and another switch panel.  It rests on a piano hinge with a barrel bolt to keep closed.

Added the final touch to the panel.. on the right is the new AC shore power unit.  Got it from EZACDC.com  (check them out).  Below is the new Guest 2-bank charger.. mounted in the opening below.

Magellan Color GPS is intalled on the nav station.  Next to it (not in this pict) is my XM Radio.

All interior lights are installed and burning bright.  New Rule bilge pump is installed along with new wiring.
